Privacy Policy

The short version: TabNotes stores everything on your own computer. Nothing is sent anywhere.
What TabNotes stores
- The notes you write for a page
- The page's URL and title (used to match the note back to the page)
- The page's favicon URL (so the note list shows site icons)
- Saved tab sessions — the list of URLs you chose to save
- Whether you have unlocked the Pro upgrade
Where it is stored
All of the above is written to chrome.storage.local inside your browser profile. It never leaves your device. TabNotes has no server, no database, and no analytics.
What TabNotes does not do
- It does not transmit your data to any server
- It does not collect personal information
- It does not track your browsing history
- It does not use cookies or any third-party analytics
- It does not sell or share data with anyone
Permissions and why they are needed

| sidePanel | Display the TabNotes interface in Chrome's side panel, which is the extension's only UI surface. |
Payments
TabNotes is free to use up to a limit of 50 notes. If you choose to unlock the Pro upgrade, the payment is handled entirely by a third-party payment processor — TabNotes never receives or stores your card number or billing details. The only thing stored on your device is a single flag recording that the upgrade was unlocked.
Deleting your data
Delete individual notes with the ✕ button in the note list. Removing the extension from chrome://extensions deletes all stored notes and sessions permanently. Because nothing is stored on a server, there is no other copy to request or erase.
Children
TabNotes is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it. Because the extension stores no data off your device, future changes cannot retroactively affect data that was never collected.
